Do you have a business idea related to the health or life science sectors? The application period for the free OYSTER Incubator pre-incubation phase is now open and the first decisions on those selected for the programme will be made in June. The 100-day pre-incubation programme to validate your business idea will start in September.
The OYSTER Hautomo pre-incubator programme will run again in autumn 2025 and is specifically aimed at early-stage entrepreneurs, researchers, students and professionals tackling challenges in the fields of digital health, health technology and well-being. Applicants are expected to have already identified a business opportunity in these areas with potential for scalable business. You can apply for the incubator either individually or with a team.
What does participating in the pre-incubator mean in practice?
The OYSTER pre-incubator coaching programme lasts 100 days. The programme starts in early September and runs until around mid-December 2025.
The main objective is to validate the business idea. The actual coaching programme will include topics on product and business development, customer identification, business models, regulations, financing and pitching. In addition, participants will have access to a wide range of networking opportunities.
The coaching programme requires at least one team member to be able to physically attend the pre-incubator programme at the OYSTER Incubator premises in Kontinkangas, Oulu. Meetings will take place approximately three times a month, half a day at a time, during the day.
A coach will be appointed for each team participating in the pre-incubator. Learning will also be supported by a common Howspace platform for participants to access the contents of the incubator coaching.
The primary language of the incubator is English.
