Summer jobs

If you are an Oulu student over 18 years old, you can apply for a City of Oulu summer traineeship. The application for traineeships for summer 2024 is closed.

If you are a student over 18 years old and receive basic income support from Kela, you can apply for a City of Oulu summer job traineeship. The application period for summer job traineeships is 15.5.–14.6.2024.

If you are a young person aged 15–17 from Oulu, you can get a summer work voucher from the City of Oulu. The summer work voucher is worth €330 and is a subsidy to the employer for hiring you.

You can use the voucher to apply for summer jobs in Oulu, Hailuoto, Ii, Kempele, Liminka, Lumijoki, Muhos and Tyrnävä for the summer period from 1 May to 30 September. The employers can be companies, associations, organisations, clubs or foundations.

The Summer Entrepreneurship Programme is a programme for young people aged 17–29. The aim of the programme is to offer young people an alternative to traditional summer work in the form of entrepreneurship and a low-threshold opportunity to test their business idea in practice.
