TE services become municipal services on 1 January 2025
From the beginning of next year, TE services will become the responsibility of municipalities, and the state employment and economic development offices (TE offices) will be abolished. Employment services will become part of every municipality’s basic service in the same way as, for example, education or urban environment services. They will provide advice and guidance on job search, recruitment and skills development for both individuals and businesses. We organise employment services together with Hailuoto, Ii, Kempele, Liminga, Lumijoki, Muhos, Pudasjärvi, Tyrnava, Utajärvi and Vaala to form the Oulu Region Employment Area.
What does the transition mean?
If you are already a client of TE services, you won’t need to do anything special, even though your service provider changes at the turn of the year. We will inform you of any changes on this website and, if necessary, contact you personally. When you are searching for a job or an employee, you should always register at Job Market Finland, which is a meeting point for jobs and job seekers. There you can find information about working life, services, and job vacancies. When you log on to Job Market Finland, you can create a job seeker profile or a job advertisement, for example. You will also find a comprehensive set of instructions to help you find what you are looking for. When you need employment services for the first time, you can always turn to BusinessAsema for help and guidance. Job Market Finland will also provide you with more information and guidance on job applications or recruiting employees.
